  • 4 eggs, beaten
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup white flour
  • 1/4 cup white sugar
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 3/4 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla
  • 8 slices of white bread, sliced into thick slices


  1. Place a large griddle over low to medium heat. Add in 1 to 2 teaspoons of butter. Allow the butter to melt.

  2. In a large bowl, add in the milk, white flour, white sugar, dash of salt, ground cinnamon, beaten eggs and pure vanilla. Whisk until evenly blended.

  3. Dip the bread slices into the batter, making sure to coat on all sides. Transfer the bread slices immediately onto the preheated griddle.

  4. Cook for 3 minutes on both sides or until golden brown.

  5. Remove and serve immediately with a sprinkling of powdered sugar and syrup.
